General information

Agrosak S.A.

has been operating since December, 1992. In 1994, Agrosak completed a pioneering stage of development. The company achieved the settled marketing targets to the extent and over the period significantly exceeding the initial expectations. Agrosak gained the major position on the market of polypropylene bags, particularly within the segment of agricultural products.
Following significant investments during six years’ activities, the Company revenue on sales increased over three times, with simultaneous nearly four times growth in gross value of the Company’s property. Thanks to widening of the Company’s assortment range with products dedicated for various applications, it was possible to introduce our range of products into other branches including specialized, technologically advanced branches where Agrosak acts as a contractor and supplier of highly specialized products. At the same time it was possible to extend the range of customers beyond the farm and food industry.

Over an early period of the Company’s activities, one of the basic production assortments were polypropylene bags (50 kg) used for packaging of flour, feed, sugar, fertilizers as well as polypropylene fabric. Besides, we were producing polypropylene string which was a very scarce and sought after product in our agriculture at that time.

In 1995 production of valve bags was started which was widely used not only in large seed warehouses, mills and feed mixing mills but also in individual farms.

In 1996 the Company established co-operation with foreign customers in the production and sales of Big-Bags with a load capacity of up to 600 kg which were mainly exported.

In the second half of 1999 the production of Big-Bags with a load capacity of up to 1500 kg (FIBCA) was set up. Big-Bags are not only universal and efficient packaging used to facilitate transportation of goods but they are also used for storage of products. This kind of packaging is more and more frequently used for bulk materials – loose products and granulates.

In 2002 the company obtained technical approval for a new product under the brand Gro-Bet. Polypropylene fibers are used as an additive to concrete to eliminate shrinkage cracks and improve the properties of concrete. Its use increases the resistance of concrete to weathering by increasing the resistance to shock. They act as micro-reinforcement replacing steel micro-mesh supportive and ancillary elements, which eliminates the problem of reinforcement corrosion and reduces costs and turnaround time.

In 2009 the Company started the production of special fabrics for the mining industry – not flammable and antistatic.
